Shed Base With Breeze Blocks

To maintain stability, prevent damage and reduce to rate that rot sets in on timber sheds, a base is required. shed bases come in all different styles and sizes to suit all manners of sheds and a concrete block shed is considered one of the easiest and best bases you can create.. Building a breeze block shed - help/advice new topics. topics; old town hall - auction/sale. started 2 hours just had something similer built base alone cost me about 800 quid as its 12 inch deep and reinforced then blocks cost me 300 quid and roof 250 quid and two roller shutters doors at 500 quid each and then about another 200 quid for. I currently have a 4m * 3m breeze shed at the bottom of the garden but want to replace it with one that is the full width of the garden (again in breeze block). the concrete base of the existing shed has cracked in half and i don't want the new one to do the same..

Well the ground for my shed base needed leveling slightly, did that with a spade. then i used rows of breeze blocks which i blagged from a building site.. 9 supporting pillars made of brieze blocks sitting on a cement / sand mix (no real foundation other than than). then the shed which is on a base made of 4 x 2 sits on those with a plastic sheet (pond liner, any old heavy duty plastic?) between the brieze blocks and it to act as a dpc layer.. You could use 6 or 8 large breeze blocks as a base and rest the wood beams on these which would help stop the wood from getting too damp or alternatively you could lay some paving slabs and again, rest the wood directly on the slabs. i've had many sheds over the years and dabbled with different types of bases..
