This is among my favorite salmon recipes. this particular salmon recipe uses a cedar plank because i find that cedar just works well with salmon. don’t be afraid to try another type of plank. maple or oak also work well with salmon, though the flavor is noticeably different.. This recipe uses wood planks (e.g. cedar) and an electric smoker with your choice of mild wood chips (e.g. apple, cherry, etc.). you can adapt this recipe to your type of smoker. if you prefer a more firm salmon, you can cook the salmon at the higher temperature for a longer time (see recipe)..
